Exciting News

The Domestic Fringe has officially been nominated for a two blog awards and I couldn’t be more excited!  This is better than getting a new pair of slippers at Christmas and you have no idea how cold my feet get when the temperature drops below 65 degrees.  You also have no idea how many times FringePup has eaten my slippers for dinner.

Yes, she is lying on the couch with her teddy bear.  She reminds me of FringeKid….

100_2863except FringeKid doesn’t eat my slippers.  Not anymore.

If you enjoy visiting the Domestic Fringe or if you’re my relative and feel like you’re bound by familial ties (you are!), please take a moment and go vote.  Voting will open until July 6th and you may vote once per day for a blog in each category.  The Domestic Fringe has been nominated for Funniest Blog and Guilty Pleasures Blog.

I thought only FringeMan thought of me as a guilty pleasure.  What until I tell him!

Thank you for your votes!  All five of you.

Seriously, there are some AMAZING  and very well deserving blogs in this line-up.  I won’t blame you if you vote for another blog.

I only hold grudges for life.  Not really, I leave that to the rest of family.

I must mention, although she’ll probably hit me with a frying pan, that Debbie from Talking Trash has been nominated in the category of Most Inspiring Blog.  Her blog is certainly inspiring, but Debbie herself is much more inspiring than her blog.  She’s always got a kind and encouraging word…or ten…or twenty.  I feel privileged to count her as a fellow blogger, a friend, and my cheerleader.

Make sure you vote for Talking Trash under Most Inspiring Blog!

Now I’ll stop being so bossy and just say THANK YOU!  Thank you for reading, for laughing, for commenting, and for voting (I hope).

Vote HERE and don’t forget to enjoy your day.

OK, I voted for you in both categories. I agree wholeheartedly with the funny category, but the other one… not so sure. Reading your blog is pleasureable, but guilt-free as far as I’m concerned. Their description is blogs you “hate to love or love to hate.” Huh? What about blogs you love to love? That would be yours. Oh well.

Since I was there anyway, I also voted for Deb’s blog again. It seems that each person can vote once a day. What’s up with that? That seems grossly unfair because it weighs more heavily the opinions of those who have nothing better to do that sit around and vote on blogs everyday. Why should an Obama supporter’s opinion count more than mine?!

I would like to comment further on this, but I have to get back to work.

Thank goodness we aren’t in the same category…I don’t think I have as many relatives reading as you! (READERS…I am just kidding!) You always have my vote and so does your son when he runs for president.
It is a guilty pleasure to sneak over here for a laugh when I should be doing laundry, bathing the dog or C.D., paying bills…anything mundane! I can always count on you for a laugh or a warm fuzzy. Keep writing, please!
    Debbie
